CAPEX is a pansexual, non-profit BDSM organization dedicated to providing education, support and a social network for its contributors in a safe, responsible and discretion-conscious environment. CAPEX adopts and pledges to support the leather community's creed: "Safe, Sane and Consensual". CAPEX does NOT condone, suggest, or endorse any activity that is illegal or non-consensual. CAPEX is NOT a "sex or swingers club" and we do NOT make personal referrals.

Since 2000, the Charlotte Area Power EXchange, or CAPEX, has been a leader in the region for teaching the “safe, sane and consensual” creed of BDSM. Our group has an array of experienced and newbie members, and can offer a sense of fellowship and commonplace for any person interested in the BDSM lifestyle.

CAPEX features monthly demonstrations from nationally and locally renowned presenters who teach not only skill-related topics like flogging and medical play, but also psychological and emotional play like role playing and predicament bondage.

In January 2010, CAPEX celebrated its 10th year and some of our contributors have received annual regional honors for their contributions to the leather community.

Everyone in CAPEX welcomes new contributors with an open mind and heart. We hope to see you in our extended family.

When does CAPEX meet?
We do our very best to meet on the fourth Saturday of every month. However, there have been scheduling changes made.

How much does a CAPEX event cost?
To become a member, you pay a $30 annual fee (the yearly dues are paid every January). For contributors and reciprocals, the demo is $15, the social is $20, and demo and social are $25.

I am not yet 21 years old. Can I still join CAPEX?
All contributors must be at least 21. However, the Gateway program is specially designed for people 18 to 20. To learn more about Gateway, email gateway@capex.info

Can I bring guests?
Yes, as long as the guests are at least 21 years old. We request that only two guests may attend per contributor. This is a great way for new people to see what we are about.
